Senior Commercial Project Manager

Are you an experienced project management professional looking for a leadership role in the commercial and multifamily construction space? As a Senior Commercial Project Manager , you will take ownership of high-impact projects, driving strategic value engineering initiatives, optimizing project execution, and ensuring seamless collaboration with key stakeholders, including architects, owners, and general contractors. Your expertise will shape the success of large-scale projects while mitigating risks and maximizing efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage commercial and multifamily projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with budget and timeline objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on material and labor cost estimation, margin expectations, and scope validation.
  • Work closely with architects, owners, and general contractors to challenge design specifications and introduce cost-saving solutions.
  • Oversee procurement, project sequencing, and trade coordination to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits, develop detailed schedules of values for revenue recognition, and manage monthly requisitions for invoicing.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the sales team, ensuring optimal product configurations and cost estimates.
  • Create and review CAD drawings to support project designs and execution strategies.
  • Lead change order evaluations and provide quick, accurate cost adjustments for evolving project requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal teams and external stakeholders, resolving project challenges with analytical problem-solving.
  • Champion process improvements and best practices that drive operational excellence.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience (5+ years preferred) in commercial construction project management.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong fireproofing/fire stopping experience (preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Advanced expertise in estimating, scheduling, and revenue forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP applications (Oracle preferred).
  • CAD software expertise to design and refine project layouts.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve design challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills to drive projects to success.
