Performs routine (journey-level) administrative, program supervisory and technical assistance work. Work involves assistance in planning, coordinating, and conducting oversight services to ensure that contractor staff comply with the terms of their contract and adhering to local, state and federal policies and regulations. Work involves assisting in establishing program goals and objectives; assisting in developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules and regulations; assisting in developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals; and assisting in evaluating program activities. May train others. Works under the Workforce Supervisor with general supervision, and has moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Provide feedback to immediate supervisor in writing regarding results of desk reviews.
• May assist in developing policy and procedure manuals.
• May train others.
Experience in workforce system programs. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Business Administration, or in a related course of study, plus two (2) years of full-time employment in position(s) which provide a thorough knowledge of principles of business administration, management procedures and practices, organizational structure, operational policies and procedures and/or human behavior.
Knowledge of workforce system programs, structure, procedures and assessment techniques. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program areas; of public administration and management techniques; of statistical analysis processes and program management processes and techniques.
Skill in identifying measures or indicators of program performance. Interpersonal skills, must possess computer skills in the following, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc.; and must be bilingual English/Spanish.
Ability to interpret information and use data in determining results; ability to understand and interpret directives and implement policies and procedures; ability to express ideas clearly
and to write clear and concise reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
with all levels of employees and the general public; to market programs. Ability to conduct training sessions for groups and individuals; ability to work flexible or extended hours when necessary; ability to exercise individual initiative and planning.
Computer, keyboards, printers, fax machines, modem, telephone, calculator, copying machine. May require the use of personal vehicle if needed.
