About the Position :

The Core Banking Systems Administrator oversees the Core Banking and Digital Banking software systems for the Bank and acts as the primary expert and owner of these systems, responsible for managing parameters, configurations, and testing, implementing changes, handling support escalation, resolving problems, overseeing upgrades, and staying informed on industry trends. This position provides guidance to bank teams on using these systems, manages incidents, and completes risk assessments while identifying mitigation opportunities.

Additionally, the Core Banking Systems Administrator will collaborate with various departments including Central Operations, Payments Division, Risk Management, Branch Operations, Treasury Management, Loan Operations, Compliance, Product Management, Project Management, and Software Development. This collaboration focuses on offering thought leadership, deployment strategies, and project management related to the software platforms. This position also ensures reliable service and exceptional customer experience, assists in setting platform-related goals aligned with the Bank's objectives, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and systems best practices.

Essential Duties:

• Assists staff and vendors throughout the organization with Core and Digital software platform related initiatives, issues, inquiries, and support.
• Participates and/or leads various internal committees and project initiatives as assigned by senior management.
• Subject matter expertise in all aspects of bank transaction processing and digital banking environments including:

o Core Processing systems and processes including but not limited to:

o Deposit and Loan processing, statement rendering, item processing, product configuration, account analysis, fee configuration.

o Digital Banking systems and processes including but not limited to:

o Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Remote Deposit, Bill Pay, Positive Pay, ACH/Wire/P2P/A2A payment functions, Quicken/QuickBooks integration, etc.

o Risk Assessment and implementation of mitigating controls to manage operational risk of Core and Digital Banking Systems.

o Fraud Monitoring systems configuration and management within Core and Digital Banking systems.

• Implements, Management and Maintenance of Core, Digital banking systems and services. Ensure that staff and customers are provided with appropriate and timely information regarding systems updates, alerts, and maintenance.
• Assists in the development and implementation of new, and upgrades of current, Core and Digital Banking related products and services.

• Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules, and regulations, and adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
• Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time, including mandatory Bank Compliance Training; supports the Bank's goals and values; benefits the bank through outside activities.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent level of experience and industry education.
• Minimum of 5 years advanced experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible bank Core and Digital Banking Systems Operations, and Management.
• Advanced skills in personal computer operation; core banking systems; digital banking; document imaging; and Microsoft Office software.
• Advanced knowledge required of related state and federal banking compliance regulations related to Core and Digital Banking, Bank policies and procedures. Ability to conduct independent research and analysis and apply these concepts into bank best practices using regulatory guidance, business periodicals, professional associations, and Internet resources.
• Ability to perform at an advanced level in the following areas: detailed work, problem solver, independent learner, customer contact, logical and common-sense reasoning, math, clear communication, create and present complex information to non-technical audiences, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning.
• Ability to conduct independent research and analysis and apply these concepts into bank best practices using regulatory guidance, business periodicals, professional associations, and Internet resources.
• Excellent organizational skills, project management, time management, and the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training for employees using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity.
• Excellent prioritization and delegation skills to successfully manage multiple tasks and interruptions.
• Financial math skills and knowledge: ability to calculate interest, statistics, and percentages; Ability to balance accounts and locate routine mathematical errors thorough understanding of bank accounting principles.
• Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
• Thorough understanding of management and authoring of procedures and process workflow.
• Ability to effectively manage Core and Digital Banking operations: setting objectives, develop strategies, initiative execution; budgeting, and developing policies and procedures); initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department or Bank activities; directing employees towards the desired objectives (delegating, motivating, resolving problems); controlling the function (developing performance standards, measuring results, taking corrective action and rewarding employees as appropriate).
• Current California driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Compensation details: 90000-150000 Yearly Salary
