DevOps Engineer (entry-level)

Dearborn, MI (hybrid)

$75,000+

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Start Date: March 31st, 2025

As an entry-level DevOps Engineer for this Fortune 500 automotive company, you’ll be providing software systems and automated solutions for this organization's operational needs. You’ll be responsible for monitoring computer systems, creating and automating warnings for different operational concerns, and collaborating with IT staff to guarantee we can continue to provide goods and services inside our computer system environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or having earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with OOP languages (Java, C++, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud services (GCP, AWS, etc)
  • BONUS: Exposure to tools like Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Dynatrace, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Help build unified observability stack using tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
  • Improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability.
  • Build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages
