Performance Based Fire Protection Engineering, PLLC is a fire protection engineering consulting firm that specializes in computer fire and egress modeling and performance-based design. Our goal is to provide the highest quality services and deliverables to our clients while keeping their project needs in mind. We strive to provide innovative solutions to challenging design problems and value communication and collaboration with our clients. In addition to performance-based design, we also provide traditional fire protection services including design and consulting services. We also serve niche vertical markets of hazardous materials/industrial clients in the design of their unique one-of-a-kind facilities.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Fire Protection Engineer role. The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and evaluating fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety codes and standards, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical support to project teams. The Fire Protection Engineer will also be responsible for creating and reviewing technical reports, providing design recommendations, and managing projects.

Qualifications

  • Fire Protection Engineering, Building/Fire Code Consulting, Hazardous Materials Consulting Background
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety and Safety Engineering standards and codes
  • Experience in Fire Suppression Systems design and analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (or currently pursuing license)
  • Experience with computer fire and egress modeling software programs
  • Experience in project management and proposal writing
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
