Kelly Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to join one of our leading clients in the Petrochemical Manufacturing industry at their Westlake, LA location.

Ideal candidate :

• 10 - 15 years’ experience managing multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously (15-20 projects in various stages).
• Refining, petrochemical, chemical, or LNG experience preferred
• Candidates with strong project execution backgrounds from other industries will be considered.

Job Skills Summary :

Technical Requirements:

Project Management Experience:

• Looking for a mid-tier project manager (Level 3 to Level 5, 10-15 years of experience).
• Must manage multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously (15-20 projects in various stages).
• Comfortable with fast-paced, high-demand environments.
• Must have PMT (Project Management Team) experience.
• Projects typically range from $50K to $15M in budget.

Industry Experience:

• Refining, petrochemical, chemical, or LNG experience preferred but not required.
• Candidates with strong project execution backgrounds from other industries will be considered.

Certifications & Training:

• Certified Project Manager (CPM), PMP, or formal PM training preferred.
• Electrical engineering background preferred, but mechanical, chemical, or construction management are acceptable.

Project Controls & Cost Management:

• Strong skills in budgeting, cost tracking, and scheduling.
• Familiarity with capital project execution environments.

Site Safety & Compliance:

• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Must complete safety training and third-party site-specific onboarding.

Non-Technical Requirements :

Workload & Integration:

• Must be a self-starter, able to work under pressure, and manage high workloads.
• Should integrate well with cross-functional teams (engineering, construction, operations, safety).
• Adaptability is critical due to the evolving project list.
