Job Description

Provides security for patients, visitors, and staff; Protect hospital buildings, assets, and premises against theft and vandalism.

Required Qualifications:

Education

High school graduate or equivalent (GED).

Licensure

Must complete a certification course with the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) within twelve months of hire date. Must have and maintain a valid MS driver's license, and must be able to be covered on Memorial Hospital vehicle operators' insurance.

Experience

Two years previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Proficient working knowledge of the civil/criminal law, and a proficient working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
