HiEmployment is currently seeking substitute teachers for preschool and Grades K-12 for Hawaii’s private and charter schools. We welcome individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to help develop today’s children and young people into leaders of tomorrow.
Job Requirements:
· Be interactive, engaging, kind, and caring
· Some experience working with children or teens
· Pass Clearances
· Strong Communication Skills: read, write, talk, hear
Infant - Preschool Substitute: High School Diploma
K12 Substitute: College Transcripts / Diploma Required
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Frequently sits, bends, grasp light or fine manipulation, talk and hear
· May be required to sit in small, child-size chairs or on the floor
· Frequently stands and/or walks, write by hand
· Standing for periods outside in the sun to monitor children for recess, PE, or play time
· Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes, pulls objects that weigh up to 20 pounds
· Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully
· Comply with Covid-19 policies and protocols
· Climb up/down stairs and hills
