Requirements:

- We require that candidates are U.S. citizens with an active DoD Security Clearance. You should have 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in RHEL and/or ACAS support, particularly within mid-to-large data center environments. We seek individuals who possess refined critical thinking skills, are self-starters, and can effectively multitask. Candidates should be adaptable to a dynamic environment and demonstrate reliability and dependability. A solid understanding of advanced networking concepts, VLAN, trunking, and port channeling is essential, along with demonstrated advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting abilities. Experience in disaster recovery, risk reduction, and planning for high availability is beneficial. Knowledge of data communications, local-area networking, wide-area networking, routers, and switches is necessary. Proficiency in Network (Layer 2, 3) LAN/WAN and a thorough understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) routing, switching, and the OSI model are expected.

Responsibilities:

- In this role, I will provide cyber security remote scanning and remediation support as necessary for sites preparing for CCRIs. I will maintain effective communications with teams essential to ACAS operation, support compliance data reporting via ACAS, and facilitate the transition of ACAS Security Centers to the Air Force’s new virtual infrastructure. My responsibilities will also include assisting with custom security policies and performing systems analysis, design review, programming, documentation, and implementation of complex system applications. I will be involved in all phases of the software life cycle, assist in installation and maintenance of configuration files, and implement vulnerability management programs. Additional tasks will involve patching and managing systems, accommodating pilot programs of IPv6 and Passive Vulnerability Scanner on ACAS, and executing implementation of AFLCMC-released software patches and updates.
