Pay Rate: $28-$36 per hour

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in private protection or a related field.


Licenses:

  • BSIS Guard Card
  • Appropriate Use of Force and/or Weapons of Mass Destruction Certification
  • Powers to Arrest Certification.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide on-site security for school events, ensuring the safety of students, staff, and attendees through effective access control and perimeter and area security.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and event perimeters to prevent unauthorized access, manage crowd movement, and ensure crowd management/control measures are in place.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents or safety threats, and coordinate emergency response and communication with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable presence to foster a safe and supportive environment for students and staff.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and logs, documenting all security activities, observations, and actions taken.
  • Perform regular patrols during events, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks or hazards to ensure seamless event operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in relevant military, law enforcement, executive protection, or event security roles.
  • Certifications:
  • BSIS Guard Card
  • Appropriate Use of Force or Weapons of Mass Destruction Certification
  • Powers to Arrest Certification
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED for Adults, Children, and Infants
  • Physical and Mental Readiness: High physical fitness, mental resilience, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written communication, ensuring precise, concise, and professional interactions.
  • Reporting Skills: Ability to create thorough, accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and activities supporting client needs.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven experience handling conflicts with a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence and de-escalation techniques.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Works well in team environments while being capable of managing responsibilities independently without supervision.

Preferred Skills & Attributes: 

  • Event Security Experience: Proven experience providing event security, ensuring crowd control, safety, and incident management.
  • Experience with Diverse Populations: Skilled in working with diverse groups, including youth and families, while maintaining a respectful and inclusive approach.
  • Client-Centric Mindset: Dedicated to delivering discreet, high-quality service tailored to each client's needs.
  • Advanced Tactical Training: Proficiency in defensive driving, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), and operations in high-threat environments.
  • Crisis Management: Ability to lead and provide clear direction during emergencies, ensuring the safety of clients and team members.
  • Emotional Intelligence Training: Formal training in emotional intelligence to manage high-stress situations with empathy and maintain effective communication.
  • Advanced Medical Training: Certification in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) to handle on-site medical emergencies effectively.
  • Unarmed Combat Proficiency: Expertise in self-defense and unarmed combat techniques for handling conflicts in close quarters or when disarmed.
