The Manager, Video will be the key acquisition and operational lead for the Dreamscape video line. This includes, but is not limited to, future distribution opportunities, as well as clearly defining operational, production & design needs to drive success for Dreamscape Video. The Manager, Video is responsible for overall management of all incoming opportunities for Dreamscape’s film and episodic distribution business. They will be responsible for tracking, identifying and evaluating content for Dreamscape’s multi-platform releases. The role will interact with sales agents, networks, production companies, studios, and filmmakers identifying and negotiating opportunities and managing any acquired content through the release as supported by the other areas of the business. This role will play a part in deciding on and working through opportunities tied to our existing Iconographic video list.

This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity and significant initiative.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must fulfill the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements listed below.

  • Manage the process and flow of content submissions, interfacing with prospective content partners as needed
  • Offer and negotiate the acquisitions of video content that is available for distribution
  • Track opportunities, initiate the contract process around any opportunity
  • Maintain familiarity with the boilerplates associated with the business with regard to rights, risks, and obligations
  • Work with Contracts to track upcoming renewals inclusive of sales and contract analysis, and provide recommendations to renew
  • Act as point person for episodic programs with regard to bundling, product setup, and messaging
  • Interface with various departments (Ops, Sales, Contracts, Design & Production) to coordinate information sharing and address incoming requests
  • Troubleshoot contract, finance, and production related issues with the support of team members in those given areas
  • Further develop processes and workflows to improve efficiencies throughout the business
  • Conduct internal, market and competitive research for the purposes of acquisitions
  • Negotiate and manage all renewals for Dreamscape Video
  • Alongside sales, work with and understand the video business in terms of digital distribution
  • Direct the ingest of digital assets received from 3rd party film and documentary partners and ensure that all assets are received and meet our internal standards.
  • Perform all other functions as required, including any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within Dreamscape Media.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce and PowerPoint programs.
  • Understanding of video industry standards and trends

Preferred Education Requirements:

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required for all new hires in all positions.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience working with video content

Compensation & Location:

The compensation for this role is very competitive. This role can be based in Dreamscape's Toledo, OH office which has a flexible, hybrid working model. Alternatively, we are open to candidates outside of the Toledo, OH area with a remote working model.
