Job Description

Charter One is currently seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our growing marketing team! A minimum of five years of social media and management experience is preferred. This full-time position is located in-person at our Mesa, Arizona office, and will be responsible for managing a team of social media professionals, overseeing digital ads, social media content strategies, community management, and organic social content across several client accounts and multiple digital platforms. We are looking for a qualified professional and an ambitious team player with a positive, can-do attitude to help us manage our growing client base and digital paid and organic social needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drives strategy and oversees the creation and execution of engaging social media content for internal and external stakeholders across multiple digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and more.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team on the planning and execution of paid and organic campaigns and strategies.
  • Monitors public and media opinion of Charter One, its clients, and employees. Supports positive brand and reputation management efforts for all stakeholder groups.
  • Leads copywriting and editing efforts for paid and organic social media content.
  • Collaborates with director on paid and organic social media placements and budget management.
  • Supports the execution of marketing and public relations events for Charter One and its clients, including but not limited to groundbreaking events, open house events, and information sessions.
  • Oversees social media creation and editing and leads the social media team in publishing and sharing daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community engagement and execution of calls to action.
  • Sets up, optimizes, and manages company and school pages within each platform to increase the visibility of social content.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and a basic understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Assists with multiple projects assigned by the director and leadership and works independently in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, fun, innovative, and deadline-driven
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proven experience in social media marketing or as a digital media manager is a must.
  • Experience boosting and creating paid Facebook ads in Ads Manager.
  • Google ad (search and display) experience a must.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Social Sprout software or a similar software tool.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Wrike (or a similar system) project management software.
  • Experience with project and client management.
  • Previous advertising agency experience is a plus.
  • Photo and video editing skills a plus.
  • Basic Canva and/or graphic design skills a plus (the team includes several amazing
  • graphic designers).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of social media experience.
